Jedd Hughes

Jedd Hughes was born in a small town in South Australia by the name of Quorn. After high school, Jedd made a life-changing decision and flew into Levelland, Texas. There, at South Plains College, he met Terry McBride who became his first producer. Encouraged to audition for Patty Loveless, Jedd moved to Nashville and became her guitarist. MCA Records picked Jedd up and in 2004 and he released his debut album, Transcontinental featuring 10 original songs. He has also released an EP with Carnival Records in early 2009.

Since coming to the United States, Jedd has played and written with some of the biggest names in country music such as Keith Urban, Rodney Crowell, Patty Loveless, Dierks Bentley, Jewel, and many others. You may have heard Jedd's work on Josh Gracin's release "Stay With Me (Brass Bed)." Jedd is currently writing and performing with Sarah Buxton. He has appeared in several music videos; Patty Loveless' "Lovin' All Night," Rodney Crowell's "Earthbound" and Keith Urban's "Once in a Lifetime" as well as his own video for "High Lonesome" which hit the airways in early 2004.

Jedd's unique sound has been described as everything from country, americana, bluegrass, and even rock. One thing is for sure, his guitar style is all his own and with each struck chord comes a new feeling and emotion.
